Arbor Low

I have been back to Arbor Low. I love it there. It draws me.

There was only us there and it was foggy and frosty so really atmospheric. I really found it hard to leave.

So peaceful, relaxing, recharging. Mmmm I feel so content

Its the writing group tonight and I can't wait as I have something to share. I got some writing done in the end!!!

Its a short story and I haven't finished it yet but I feel its started well. Lets hope the others agree with me. I got the inspiration from my visit to Arbor Low yet its not set there exactly. Ah thats got you thinking, eh?

I will keep you updated on progress.

Just got back from Arbor Low a local stone circle. Where else would a girl go to celebrate Winter Solstice.

I went with Liz and it was very atmospheric. We watched the sun set and enjoyed being enveloped by the darkness. I felt very content and peaceful. Loved it.

The weather stayed fine. It was windy which added to the atmosphere and as we left and exited the stone circle the stones hummed to us. We stopped and listened and yes they were, we had not imagined it. Awesome.

We will be there again for Summer Solstice.

20th December

Done nothing but housework today and while I feel pleased I have got my house looking nice and christmasi, done the washing, decorated the Christmas cake, finished wrapping pressis I can't help but feel like I have lost a day of my weekend!

So no writing done today either!!! Is there any hope for me! (Don't answer that lol)

I have bought two new books today, The Night Watch by Sergei Lukyanenko and Ill Wind by Rachel Caine. I am currently reading City of Bones which is about Shadowhunters, its very good. A can't put down book.

I still haven't written anything myself yet though!

Christmas is getting ever nearer and I am getting ready for Sarah to come home from Uni. These are my excuses for not planning any writing time into my week this week.
